Part of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International), a global organization with branches in over 100 countries that serves as a forum for professional business women the world over, BPW-Bahrain focuses on empowering women, as well as Bahraini youth regardless of gender, economically.

Under the inspirational leadership of Her Excellency Shaikha Hind Bint Salman Al Khalifa, the President of BPW-Bahrain, the Federation has succeeded in impacting Bahraini society positively on many levels and its influence has extended across the Middle East as well.

Over the years since its inception in 2012, apart from directly influencing the upward graphs charted by many of the beneficiaries of BPW-Bahrain’s interventions, the organization has hosted international seminars attended by participants from sister organizations from around the world and is widely recognized as one of the key players in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 initiative.

Vision

Like BPW International, our parent organization, we help to develop the business, professional and leadership potential of women on every level possible. This is achieved through advocacy, education, mentoring, networking, skill-building and economic empowerment programmes and projects. Given the vast reservoir of untapped talent and potential in the Kingdom, we also extend our support to men, as well as our youth, regardless of gender. It is important to note here that all our considerable achievements over the past decade have been made possible due to the generous and continued patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Mission

In keeping with the mandate of BPW International, BPW-Bahrain’s goals are simple: Our focus is inherently humanitarian as we focus on the social, commercial and economic aspects of Bahraini society by empowering the Kingdom’s women and youth. Since 2012, we have helped to develop the professional, business and leadership potential of many women – and men, along with the country’s youth – by imparting training, raising awareness and providing incubators for special projects generated for those in need.
